Hello.

I support independent filmmakers by creating music that drives the narrative, builds tension, and opens up new layers of meaning.

As a consequence it gives our films a unique character and a strong resonance with the audience.

Bio

Bio

I’m Sebastian Ładyżyński, a composer born in Wrocław in 1985. I hold a PhD in composition from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław and completed Master’s studies at King’s College London. My work spans classical, film, theatre, and video game music.

My passion lies in artistic cinema and animation, where I focus on creating music that deeply supports visual storytelling.

My compositions have been presented at some of the world’s top film festivals, including Festival d’Annecy, Hiroshima International Animation Festival, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma (Montreal), Ottawa International Animation Festival, and many others, spanning five continents.

I have received awards for my film music and been honored with scholarships from the Polish Ministry of Culture and the National Centre for Culture’s Young Poland program. Since 2015, I have been leading the Theatre and Film Music Studio at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where I also teach.

How I work

How I work and what sets me apart

I hear

From the quiet lowlands of Central Europe where I live to the mountain winds of Morocco, from the rhythms of India to the stillness of Japan when I travel, I listen. I listen to places, to people, to the stories hidden in sound.

I see

I go beyond the surface. I ask questions. I listen more than I speak. Because truly meaningful music begins with understanding. I search for resonance: new tones, forgotten textures, unlikely connections.

I experience

I compose and curate with care. Each project is a dialogue: between image and emotion, silence and sound. Whether it calls for raw electronics, intimate folk, or sweeping orchestral arrangements, I shape music that speaks in the film’s own voice.
